EXPERIMENTATION

During the term we followed a schedule which rotated one class of the week being a new method explanation and a practice of it, and the second class of the week being theorical and focused on the working of the "Shark Tank" and the final product the students are going to deliver.

STENCIL

During the first practical class, the teacher explained the stencil method, where we got to learn the parts we should cut, the tools we needed and the usage of the tools, for example the precise cutter which had to be used in a very specific way. Later on we were asked to chose one image from the internet of what ever we would like (in my case I chose Marilyn Monroe). After every student had chose their image, we were asked to attach the file to a document that later the teacher would print. After every student had their image everyone had to cut out the black or white part depending on the bridges and image, and later spray paint the stencil into a giant canvas.

COLLAGE

On a theoretical class we got taught about collages and how to use them in order to create some very cool images, which are modeled some times or in scale, meaning you could include disproportional images in te collage, for example a huge body and a tiny head.
